5 More Minutes from Bro. Arnold
Updated 6.30.08HOW’S YOUR SERVE?
Servanthood seems to be tops on the Lord's list and usually last on man's. Jesus said, "He that would be greatest among you, shall be your servant." So apparently, SERVICE is the road to greatness. It is so easy to let the spirit of this day affect our attitudes and thus be reflected through our actions.
A rider on horseback came across a group of men trying to move a fallen tree from the path, while a well-dressed corporal gave commands to heave. "Why don't you help them?" The rider asked. To which he quickly replied, "I'M THE CORPORAL" Dismounting and laying hold of the fallen tree, he cried, "O.K. fellas, all together now, HEAVE." The tree moved easily with the help of the additional man who told the corporal, "The next time you need some help, send for the chief." It was then the corporal realized the stranger was the COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF, General George Washington.
No person is really too great to help others. In fact, it is only a real small person who refuses to SERVE. God is blessing. Get involved somewhere in this work. Ask what can I do to SERVE the KING: He welcomes all.
